Nokia reportedly has a lot to announce next week at the World Mobile Congress trade show in Barcelona, Spain. Today Nokia released a new video that gives us a tease of at least one of those new devices. The video shows various snow covered landscapes while showing off terms like "Pure detail", "Pure depth", and "pure definition."
It sounds like this new smartphone might have a camera that will contain more than just the usual features. An earlier Internet rumor claimed that Nokia has plans to reveal what the report called the Nokia 808 PureView. If true, we expect to see some impressive camera features in this new smartphone.
LG Electronics, a second-tier smartphone maker hoping Google's Android operating system will lift its fortunes, has unveiled its new Optimus 3D Max.
The phone, like its 2011 Optimus 3D predecessor, includes glasses-free 3D display technology on a 4.3-inch display and an ability to shoot 3D videos and photos with dual cameras. The new model, unveiled on Wednesday ahead of next week's Mobile World Congress, is thinner and has faster 21Mbps HSPA+ networking. It also supports near-field communications for tap-to-pay systems and other NFC uses such as switching the phone quickly among car, home and work modes.
